Merino Wool Care Guide
Caring for Your Extrafine Merino Wool
Your lounge pants are made from 100% Cashwool® extrafine merino wool, a naturally breathable and thermoregulating fiber selected for its softness, comfort, and durability.
With gentle care, merino wool can retain its beautiful shape, softness, and natural performance for a long time.
Wash Gently
Merino wool does not need frequent washing. Its natural fibers are breathable and odor-resistant, so simply airing your pants after wearing them can often be enough.
When washing is necessary:
- Hand wash at 30°C
- Use a gentle detergent suitable for wool
- Turn the garment inside out before washing
- Gently move the garment through the water
- Avoid rubbing, scrubbing, or twisting
- Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener
Avoid sudden changes in water temperature, as they can affect the shape and feel of wool fibers.
Handle With Care
After washing, gently press out excess water.
Never wring or twist merino wool.
Instead, place the pants on a clean towel and gently roll the towel to absorb moisture.
This helps protect the delicate fibers and maintain the original shape of the garment.
Dry Flat
Gently reshape your lounge pants while they are damp and lay them flat on a clean, dry towel.
Allow them to dry naturally at room temperature.
Avoid:
- Tumble drying
- Radiators and direct heat
- Hanging while wet
- Direct sunlight
- Ironing at high temperatures
Drying flat helps preserve the relaxed fit and shape of your knitwear.
Let Your Merino Wool Breathe
Merino wool naturally regulates temperature and moisture, making it ideal for comfortable everyday wear.
After wearing, allow your pants to air naturally before folding them away.
Frequent washing is usually unnecessary and can place additional stress on natural fibers.
Keep the Shape Beautiful
Because these are knitted lounge pants, gentle handling helps maintain their relaxed silhouette.
When storing or drying:
- Avoid pulling or stretching the waistband
- Reshape gently while damp
- Never hang the pants when they are wet
- Fold them rather than placing them on a hanger for long-term storage
Store Thoughtfully
Before storing your merino wool pants for an extended period, make sure they are completely clean and dry.
Fold them neatly and keep them in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
For seasonal storage, a breathable garment bag or storage box can help protect the natural fibers.
A Little Care Goes a Long Way
Your merino wool lounge pants were made to bring comfort to everyday life.
With gentle washing, natural drying, and thoughtful storage, you can help preserve the softness, shape, and beautiful qualities of this exceptional natural fiber.
